Pleco not eating zucchini... What should I do to help them eat it? - slice of stainless
Hey guys ... I had 2 Plecos for over a month. Yes, I admit, I assumed that feed on the ground and have enough to eat in the background. But I have 2 small koi goldfish, because they keep the floor clean.
Beyond Plecos do not really eat the feces of other fish anyway.
I have to do some research and it turns out that - apart from pellets of algae that they consume all kinds of vegetables. So I bought a zucchini, I made me a fork with a steel band and flowed into my tank ...
Plecos Ignore zucchini. Anything you put / do the zucchini to make them more attractive?
I add only 3 new male laminar My Tank (3 women join my bank).
It is a reservoir of 90 liters, I know not hurt much, Plecos, right?
My Plecos are only 3 "long and look forward to adequate food in the future. Any help is welcome.
I give you for your answers:)

You can cook, it works for Otocinclus catfish, do not see why not Plecos work.
We found a first stone of the size of a slice of zucchini and a strip of rubber that is used to give weight to your zucchini. Fish are like people in relation to food. Some zucchini, as some do not. Try a piece of cucumber or other vegetables. You just have to find something like that is all. Make eat your goldies and laminar? (You)
They feed on plants, a plant that have found happy to eat. Lettuce, spinach, cucumber, choice, etc. well here.
There is no right to fish waste Plecos eat here.
Work Plecos can eat (algae algae also here) and leftover food, but can not do much about food as they will rot afetr a while. Algae tablets buy insurance, it is better that a few times per day instead of a great life-week feed. You are not algae eaters, fish and vegetables they eat foods containing algae. You can also feed Veges cool as cucumbers, zucchini and mushrooms. Stick a fork to make steel sink and left the room during the night. Take only the remnants the next day. No risk of overeating.
